A blog about life, work, and the comedy that comes with it. And sweet, succulent food. Don't forget the baking. Mmm. Cake. Poetry too.

Sleeping In
Slept for most of the day, then went back on the job hunt. Sad how many scam offers there are on craigslist. Actually more annoying than sad, but sad sounds better and less uppity so we'll go with that.

Truck Driving Schools
Anyone know of any good truck driving schools in North Carolina, preferably within 50-75 miles of Winston-Salem, NC?

Ok Facebook, wth?
Why does Facebook feel the need to change just as we're getting used to the changes they just made not too long ago? I have no need for a ticker, if I wanted to know what my friends were doing I'd happily go to their page.
I also don't need my recent and top stories bunched together, and why do ya'll get to decide what I want to read? It's Big Brother, ya'll are turning into Big Brother aren't you?
(No...)
Ugh, yes, yes you are.
And it's annoying as hell!
I will give one prop though, the hiding of updates I don't care about. Thanks for that.

Looking for a Job
With a big breath, I closed my eyes and jumped into the job pool.
...Then I realized I can't swim.
So I got ahold of a floatie shaped like a golden M. However that floatie and I just didn't mesh, I kept falling off of it or bumping into the sides of the pool too hard because I couldn't control it, so I soon had to let it go. I managed to tread water for a little while until I found a blue sun shaped floatie designed for comfort. I loved this floatie quite alot, it was such a pretty and pleasant one, but it wasn't to last because soon it popped. I found another comfort floatie, but it was red this time and I'm still trying to get used to it. A phone floatie just drifted by, I passed it up in favor of the comfort floatie I'm still riding, and hoping I'll soon hop onto another, bigger floatie.
...Maybe one shaped like a truck.

Review of My Memories Suite
Hey guys, remember that review I was talking about the other day? Well here it is in all its glory! I tried out the My Memories Suite digital scrapbook and I must say I was VERY impressed with the ease of use. It's so simple that my nephew worked with it, and he's only six years old. I made a basic scrapbook from a pre-made template for starters (and since I'm pants at designing things) and here are some samples from it:
And that's just the tip of the iceberg of what you can do with this software!
You can even make designs! Truly beautiful and unique designs that can be featured on the My Memories Suite website!
So enter as soon as you can, don't miss your chance for this great software that's more than just scrapbooking!

So I Found Out
That a dear friend of mine has cancer that is progressing very rapidly. She's in a real rut right now, lost her job, can't pay rent or bills or gas, got robbed by her "friend", and I've helped as much as I could but now it's time to ask for your guy's help. If you can spare even a penny, it will help. She doesn't know I'm doing thism so shhh. It's a surprise! All proceeds will go to her to try and get her the help she needs.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Been a depressing and shocking few days
First, let me start off by saying that while all well-wishers and statements of prayer will be well-received, but that I myself am not religious. As such, any attempts to push any religious agenda will be met with silence and the comment will more than likely not be approved. Thank you all for understanding.
Now, onto business.
My cousin died two days ago. He had an aneurysm near his brain stem last Thursday and was admitted to the local hospital ER. They moved him to a palliative care unit where he was put on life support, he had blood on the brain which was creating pressure that could not be relieved due to his age (60+), nor could any surgery be done for that same reason. They removed him from life support on Saturday morning at which point he was breathing on his own, however, he was pronounced dead that same evening around seven.
This has saddened me for many reasons, not simply because he was family or that I had grown up with him in my life. No, I happened to hear from another cousin of mine that he had spoken about changing his eating habits in order to lose weight and exercising more so that he wouldn't be so out of breath while he worked.
That's what makes his death so sad for me, just to know that he was going to change but didn't get the chance to really do it.
His funeral is Friday, so I'll let you all know how it goes.
