Definitely need a new job
Seriously. I don't care what it is, as long as it's night-time related, or, even better, mostly independent! Can't take it anymore!

Home, home on the range
Where I bore and sleep everyday. Where seldom is heard, a discouraging word, but only because I'm knocked out all day!

Suddenly remembered why I love night shift
The absence of people. It's impossible to get stressed when there's no one stressing you out. Nothing to clean up except my own messes, and most often they are numerical computations only. Ah night shift, I adore thee, forgive me for yesterday.

Need sleep
Been here since 11pm and it's now 6:33am and I can't stop yawning. I'm getting sleepier and sleepier, so ready to go home, just gotta hold out for another hour and thirty and I'm home free to sleep in my deliciously warm and fluffy bed. Hoping I can convince my boo to curl up with me just until I fall asleep, you know, to make up for the cuddling I didn't get to do last night.
So Bored...Night Shift Sucks!
So I'm here at work picking up some extra hours, joy, but night shift has got to be the most boring thing ever. I would give anything to be in bed curled up with my baby right now, and the classical music they have playing constantly without ceasing is driving me up the wall. I guess I'll go watch the telly, still waiting on seven guests to arrive. Ugh, they need to hurry up so I can do my paperwork.

Dedicated To The Lovely Rachel
Hey all,
So a couple weeks ago I was reading my new friend Rachel's blog and noticed that she wanted a favor from someone living in North Carolina. Me, being the curiously helpful North Carolinian that I am, asked her what she needed. Turns out she was a bit homesick and wanted some nature keepsakes. So, I took a few days and gathered up some rocks, some moss, and various leaves to send to her. Oh, and acorns, can't forget those! :D I also got to thinking, after seeing her numerous pictures on her blog and noticing that she is very dressy, why not make her something? Thus, the autumn acorn earrings were born!
Isn't she beautiful? And just look at that pretty smile!

How I Quit College and Earned Freedom and Independence
Yes loves it's true, I said c'est la vie to college on the 21st of September and no, I will not be returning ever. It wasn't for me, and unfortunately everyone cannot see that. I wasn't happy there. I wasn't doing well. I was overly stressed and just plain fed up. So I had two years and a semester or so left, big whoop. It wasn't what 'I' wanted to do, and I wasn't going to keep sacrificing my personal happiness and wants just because certain people wanted me to go to school. Anyways, as a result of this I now hold the title to my car in earnest, it's completely in my name so I now own it. Yay! Piece of crap that it is. But, all will be well. I'm happy with my life and happier now that it's not being dictated by anyone else.
I've got my own lot in life and it's a winner! Now, on to bigger and better things. Interesting places and jobs, I will not be defined by a paper that says I am teachable. I will be defined by my experiences. And maybe a piece of paper that says I won't blow things up if I put these two wires together. Lol.
Love,
SIKK

Supa Fantastic!
No, I haven't posted in...two days?? Honestly guys, I've just been lazy. My sweet darling was home with me on Monday so I spent most of my time with her, but now she's at work so I'm bored. Then I have to go to work tomorrow and Friday and Saturday and Sunday and Monday! So I'll be busy for a little while, just expect to see little text posts from me, assuming I can find the blogger number that I swore I had in my phone yesterday. Gah, anyways, it's going to be a great weekend! We're having a pride festival here on Saturday and I can't wait! I've never been to a pride parade before and especially not with my baby! We've been together a whole year and a month already, can you believe it?
Ah, so excited!
And I sooo want one of these! Hope they have something similar! Me and rainbow items are gonna be glued together on that day, especially since I don't have any to begin with! SD has a belt that she said I could wear but I want a ring or something cause belts that aren't black are just tacky to me. Anyways, let me know if you'll be at the Winston-Salem pride festival this year! I'm handing out gift certificates to my online sweets shop CTDV and I'd love to meet and greet!
See y'all there!

Funny stuff my coworkers say
So our maintenance man and I were talking about the teams of soccer players that have been here lately and how their parents don't watch them. He, myself, and another coworker had to chase kids out of our exercise room and reprimand them in the halls for being noisy and rude, confiscating balls and whatnot. Anyway, he said, and I quote: "In my kingdom I would hang them upside down by their toes and pee on them." Had me rolling.

R.I.P Moo-moo
My middle cat Moo-moo was hit by a car a few days ago, I just found out yesterday since she was living with my parents. I still haven't cried for her yet, but I'm sure it'll happen soon.
Moo-moo. The best lil' girl I've ever had, so affectionate and loving, and would always greet me at my car once I got off work.I love you, hope you're chasing rabbits in paradise.
Requiescat In Pace.

Judge shows and dry air
So I've been home most of the day just lazing around. I've been very tired with all this cold weather lately. Though I will admit it's pretty nice outside now, but I still haven't felt up to going anywhere.
The only thing I've really done today besides writing this post is watch the various judge shows that come on tv, Judge Judy is so funny when she's chewing someone out. And now I think I'll go get some cookies. Mmm, cookies.

Aye October! How I love yet loathe thee!
I woke up this morning freezing. Not "oh I put my feet on my cold linoleum floor let me warm them back up" freezing either. No, this freezing was the kind of freezing that makes you race for the covers and curl up in a little ball. This cold lets you know that Autumn, in all its glory, is upon you. And might I say it is FRIGID! I rue the first day of fall here in my state because without fail, it's always 60 or below here and cheek-numblingly cold.
On the other hand, you get to carve pumpkins and trick or treat with the little ones, so I guess that makes up for the cold.
Almost.
Anyways, I had an actual point this post aside from ranting about the bitter cold I braved through to face work this morning. And that wonderful news is, that I have joined a program called JSS-Tripler. You can make money with this program, it's slow, but true.
There's a link in the banner at the top of the page below the blog title, and another at the bottom of the page. Now, onto what the program is: Basically you buy what are called positions. For each position that you buy, you get 2% from aforementioned position. Example: 1 position is $10, buy that one position today, and tommorrow you will see $0.20, so on and so forth if you buy 2 positions for $20 you will see a return of $0.40, this continues until 75 days later where you will have made a $5, $10, or even more of a profit depending on how many positions you buy.
Now, I know some of you are looking at the screen and rolling you eyes calling "SCAM", but it isn't. Just try for yourself, if you read through all the information and decide you don't believe it, fine. If you do decide to try it however, you'll need to enjoy that money so go shopping! Click one of the ads around here and have at it!
Peace, love, & chicken grease,
S.I. Kyren

Sleeping In
Slept for most of the day, then went back on the job hunt. Sad how many scam offers there are on craigslist. Actually more annoying than sad, but sad sounds better and less uppity so we'll go with that.

Ok Facebook, wth?
Why does Facebook feel the need to change just as we're getting used to the changes they just made not too long ago? I have no need for a ticker, if I wanted to know what my friends were doing I'd happily go to their page.
I also don't need my recent and top stories bunched together, and why do ya'll get to decide what I want to read? It's Big Brother, ya'll are turning into Big Brother aren't you?
(No...)
Ugh, yes, yes you are.
And it's annoying as hell!
I will give one prop though, the hiding of updates I don't care about. Thanks for that.

Looking for a Job
With a big breath, I closed my eyes and jumped into the job pool.
...Then I realized I can't swim.
So I got ahold of a floatie shaped like a golden M. However that floatie and I just didn't mesh, I kept falling off of it or bumping into the sides of the pool too hard because I couldn't control it, so I soon had to let it go. I managed to tread water for a little while until I found a blue sun shaped floatie designed for comfort. I loved this floatie quite alot, it was such a pretty and pleasant one, but it wasn't to last because soon it popped. I found another comfort floatie, but it was red this time and I'm still trying to get used to it. A phone floatie just drifted by, I passed it up in favor of the comfort floatie I'm still riding, and hoping I'll soon hop onto another, bigger floatie.
...Maybe one shaped like a truck.

Review of My Memories Suite
Hey guys, remember that review I was talking about the other day? Well here it is in all its glory! I tried out the My Memories Suite digital scrapbook and I must say I was VERY impressed with the ease of use. It's so simple that my nephew worked with it, and he's only six years old. I made a basic scrapbook from a pre-made template for starters (and since I'm pants at designing things) and here are some samples from it:
And that's just the tip of the iceberg of what you can do with this software!
You can even make designs! Truly beautiful and unique designs that can be featured on the My Memories Suite website!
So enter as soon as you can, don't miss your chance for this great software that's more than just scrapbooking!

So I Found Out
That a dear friend of mine has cancer that is progressing very rapidly. She's in a real rut right now, lost her job, can't pay rent or bills or gas, got robbed by her "friend", and I've helped as much as I could but now it's time to ask for your guy's help. If you can spare even a penny, it will help. She doesn't know I'm doing thism so shhh. It's a surprise! All proceeds will go to her to try and get her the help she needs.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Been a depressing and shocking few days
First, let me start off by saying that while all well-wishers and statements of prayer will be well-received, but that I myself am not religious. As such, any attempts to push any religious agenda will be met with silence and the comment will more than likely not be approved. Thank you all for understanding.
Now, onto business.
My cousin died two days ago. He had an aneurysm near his brain stem last Thursday and was admitted to the local hospital ER. They moved him to a palliative care unit where he was put on life support, he had blood on the brain which was creating pressure that could not be relieved due to his age (60+), nor could any surgery be done for that same reason. They removed him from life support on Saturday morning at which point he was breathing on his own, however, he was pronounced dead that same evening around seven.
This has saddened me for many reasons, not simply because he was family or that I had grown up with him in my life. No, I happened to hear from another cousin of mine that he had spoken about changing his eating habits in order to lose weight and exercising more so that he wouldn't be so out of breath while he worked.
That's what makes his death so sad for me, just to know that he was going to change but didn't get the chance to really do it.
His funeral is Friday, so I'll let you all know how it goes.
